Power of Attorney for Immigrant Families

The Law Office of Jamile Moraes Pellicer, P.A. was founded with the objective of helping families stay together in the United States and achieve their American Dream. Often, family separation is a serious concern for many immigrant families.

We are immigrants, too.

We have been in your shoes.

Are you worried about what will happen to your family if you are detained?

Are you worried about making sure your children are taken care of?

Are you worried about your money and assets being safe?

A Power of Attorney for Immigrant Families can help ease the uncertainty and fear that many families in the immigrant community experience.

POWER OF ATTORNEY (POA)

A power of attorney (POA) that gives a lawyer or other agent the power to act in your stead for a specific purpose. They expected to place your ahead of their own. It is important that you and your loved one to choose a trusted individual.

Choose from:

  • Medical
  • Financial

TEMPORARY CARE PACKAGE FOR ADULTS

A guardianship is a court-supervised process to specify the person(s) you’d like to appoint to handle your assets. The guardian can be authorized to make legal, financial, and health care decisions – depending on the terms of the guardianship and state practices.

Includes:

  • Guardianship Nomination
  • Medical or Financial POA

KID’S PROTECTION PLAN

A guardianship specifically for children, also court-supervised, to appoint the person(s) you’d like to appoint as your children’s legal guardian(s), and leave any instructions for their care. This is a special POA that gives someone you trust the authority and ability to make decisions on your behalf, the decisions you would make as a parent. The person you appoint is responsible for many things: making sure your child remains safe during a stressful situation, providing consent for any necessary medical treatment, among others.

Includes:

  • Guardianship Nomination:
    • Short- or Long-Term
    • Standby Guardian
    • Guardian ad Litem
  • Medical POA for Minors

Considering the pros and cons is key. If you are in the United States and wish to make arrangements for your family in case of the worst, we are here to help. Our team is here to guide you through this process with compassion and dedication.
